Siemens PLM Webcast on Mechatronics Process ManagementSiemens PLM Software | Web Event Building intelligence into a product requires software that is integrated with certain functions of the product. The addition of wire harness, electronics and software to an already complex product development process adds new challenges for the product development schedule, cost and quality. All of these different types of data, as well as their change processes, must be managed and shared.
As 3D models and images take root in engineering departments and beyond, all variants of design tools are building bridges to integrate with traditional CAD packages. There’s integration with electrical engineering tools, with mathematical programs and even with specialty applications that manage compliance data. What bridges does your engineering department require in the CAD world? Drop me a line.

For industrial control applications, or even a simple assembly line, that machine can go almost 24/7 without a break. But what happens when the task is a little more complex? That’s where the “smart” machine would come in. The smart machine is one that has some simple (or complex in some cases) processing capability to be able to adapt to changing conditions. Such machines are suited for a host of applications, including automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, computers and electronics, telecommunications, consumer goods, and so on. This radio show will show what’s possible with smart machines, and what tradeoffs need to be made to implement such a solution.
