A patented seal, well accepted in the racing industry, protects the spherical bearing of rod ends from contamination. The design features a neoprene-rubber seal that is chemically bonded to an aircraft quality washer at 320F and 8,000 psig. The seal encapsulates the bearing and flexes accordingly with any change in angularity.
Designed to keep grease in, and dirt and water out, other applications include dirt cars, industrial machinery, or lawn and garden equipment. The seal is impervious to gasoline, oils, and most other common fluids, and plating on the steel washer protects it from corrosion.
