Multi non-contact displacement transducers (NCDT) work with higher frequencies, enabling a smaller coil than those used with conventional detectors. Two other advancements foster miniaturization:
1. Optimized electronic linearization to counter non-linearity in the physical measuring principle, and
2. A patented thermal compensation circuit based on measuring the coil's electrical resistance.
