Smart Car Poly Roof Fault

NO RATINGS
Just recently purchased a 2008 Smart for two coupe.

The first thing I noticed about it was the crazing of the Polycarbonate roof. On reading several forums on this problem I am quite concerned about the safety issues of this condition.Should I be concerned?.

It does not appear that Smart Car are doing anything about this matter to rectify the problem.

I have read that a new type roof has been made for this vehicle. Is this correct.

If so surely there should be a recall to rectify as this is a Manufacturers fault in construction.

I am an aged Pensioner and can`t afford to just go out and buy a new Roof for my car.

Would love to have this problem sorted and not have to worry about it.

Diesel Motors Mecedes is the dealer here in Perth.
