The bq2013H gas gauge IC is for capacity monitoring of NiCd, NiMH, or lead-acid rechargeable battery packs. Using the latest gas gauge platform, the bq2013H monitors critical battery parameters in large-capacity packs used in high-discharge rate applications such as power-assist bicycles and other electric vehicles. Designed for battery pack integration, the bq2013H tracks the battery's voltage, temperature, and remaining capacity, and communicates this information to a host system controller using a single-wire communications port.
