Flexbeam(TM) beam-style flexible couplings are available in stainless steel and have a single-piece construction with spiral cuts to accommodate angular and parallel misalignment and axial motion. The stainless-steel versions are targeted for brushless servomotor applications that have high instantaneous torque. Two models are available: the Flexbeam-(super3)(TM) couplings which has two sets of three spiral cuts and is for servo applications; and the Flexbeam-(super2)(TM), which has two sets of two spiral cuts and is for applications that use delicate components such as encoders and tachometers.
