ELECTRONICS: ITT Interconnect Solutions‘ APD Series plastic circular connectors are now specified for use in wheeled armored vehicles. A leading global manufacturer and supplier of connectors, interconnects and cable assemblies, ITT’s APD Series connectors were originally designed to meet the automotive DIN 72585 (now ISO 15170) specification, and are now being specified for use in wheeled armored vehicle applications where military qualifications aren’t required.
ITT’s APD Series circular plastic connectors are lightweight, cost effective, easy to assembly and offer the additional security of a secondary locking system for high pin counts. The connectors are capable of handling up to 48V and are available in a wide range of layouts ranging from 1 to 51 contacts. The APD Series connectors feature high vibration resistance and are sealed to IP67/IP69K ratings. Specified to ISO 15170 standards, the connectors are offered with stamped or machined contacts, along with mechanical and color coding.
Typical pricing for the APD Series circular connectors ranges from $5 to $25 per mated pair. Lead time is six weeks.
