MOTION CONTROL:OEMDynamics, a division of Animatics Corp., designers and manufacturers of highly innovative motion control products, announces enhanced features on the HLD 60-H3 Actuator that save money.HLD60-H3 Features include: no gearhead required; saves money; reduces maintenance; no brake required in many vertical applications, which saves more money; and reduced maintenance costs.
Due to its unique harmonic principle, the H3 belt achieves a gear reduction equivalent of up to 40:1 without the need for a gearhead. This means a cost savings, that it takes up less space and weighs less.
Key HLD60-H3 Features include: can achieve lengths greater than 3m without attributable losses in performance, and therefore can be used in a wide range of applications; sturdy and seamless magnetically retained seal strip; and it meets European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
By refining topologies and using new fluid technology, Moog's new peak sine drive controller increases available power without increasing controller volume.
Two new introductions in the world of motion drives for automation are moving toward use of standard Ethernet communications, eliminating the use of custom hardware.

A quick look into the merger of two powerhouse 3D printing OEMs and the new leader in rapid prototyping solutions, Stratasys. The industrial revolution is now led by 3D printing and engineers are given the opportunity to fully maximize their design capabilities, reduce their time-to-market and functionally test prototypes cheaper, faster and easier. Bruce Bradshaw, Director of Marketing in North America, will explore the large product offering and variety of materials that will help CAD designers articulate their product design with actual, physical prototypes. This broadcast will dive deep into technical information including application specific stories from real world customers and their experiences with 3D printing. 3D Printing is
