SENSORS: Leica Geosystems’ Leica TM30, which succeeds the company’s Leica TCS2003 and TCA1800, incorporates accuracy, reliability and robust design for monitoring applications. Equipped with direct drives based on piezo technology, the Leica TM30 allows shorter measurement cycles when working with multiple prisms, is fast and quiet. It offers angle measurements of 0.5 or 1 inch and distances can be measured with the company’s PinPoint EDM Technology, which has precision of 0.6 mm + 1 ppm on prisms. On natural surfaces, accuracy of 2 mm + 2 ppm is achieved.

Such machines are suited for a host of applications, including automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, computers and electronics, telecommunications, consumer goods, and so on.
