A National Transportation Safety Board hearing is currently underway in Washington to finally issue a report on the agency’s finding of the cause of last summer’s Big Dig tunnel collapse in Boston, which killed a 38-year-old woman. At the moment, the board is giving a general overview of the Big Dig’s Central Artery project and a construction timeline. A special grand jury convened last October to investigate both the consturction and design of Boston’s Big Dig tunnels as part of a criminal probe into the tunnel ceiling collapse.
