I have DSL with Qwest and they supplied Microsoft’s MSN mail and internet software. Qwest is dropping MSN and offering another free replacement. You can transfer your emails and address list to the new software, but there is no export on favorites or bookmarks.
You can import them to MSN, but can not export them. Calling tech help confirms there is no way to export them - you have to re-enter them in your new browser one at a time manually.
I tried to print the favorites so I could do an OCR scan and capture them, but MSN will not allow printing on that page. Obviously this was no lesser monkey accident - a higher up monkey made the programmers hide the favorites file and do everything they could do to keep customers by making it hard to transfer to another program.
Thankfully there is a freeware program that will help transfer the bookmarks after you ferret out the hidden file. Thanks MSN and Microsoft. You could have put them in a simple text file, but no, you had to monkey with your customers.
