I have owned three Toyota SUVs back to back - Two 4Runners and now an FJ Cruiser. Loved them all.
Unfortunately, they all were the product of a made by monkeys design team. After you turn the ignition key off you have 30 seconds to operate the power windows in case you left one open, hadn’t noticed it, and need to roll it up.
HOWEVER, if you open ANY door the during the 30-second period, the function is immediately disabled. I can’t tell you how many times I have stepped out of my vehicle and only then saw that the rear window was down a couple of inches and I couldn’t close it without fishing my keys out of my pocket and turning the ignition back on.
What were they thinking! I agree with the 30 second time delay but the open door disable makes no sense….
