I'm curious to know how they perform in humid conditions. I've had problems with these on the user end, often in consumer electronics. The peel off and separate problem has usually occurred in high humidity with various types of clear overlays, not with other tapes due to loading issues.
I have had unfortunate experiences with some pressure sensitive adhesive applications. What happened is that the adhesive would initially adhere in what appeared to be a satisfactory manner, but after a few hours, or even a few days, it would peel off and separate. This was in applications with a constant loading, so there was a force tending to separate the connection. Non-pressure sensitive adhesives would function in the same application, but they are all a lot more time and effort, although often less costly.
So do the new types of adhesive solve this problem for me?
