Very true, the can steppers are a great bang for your buck, and although there are other advantages to microstepping an inexpensive stepper, the extra resolution you gain will not be very accurate.

Micro-stepping low cost steppers...

Low cost steppers also do not have well controlled coild positions, as such, the quadrature modulation of the coils does not produce the expected angular results.

Scientific grade steppers are needed for very precise angular control when microstepping very small angles.

Ramp Tables

Another consideration worth mentioning is the use of ramp tables to drive stepper motors.  In certain applications, depending upon motor type, performance requirements, loading and operating speed, ramp tables are used to gradually 'ramp' up from a slower speed to the faster speed.  This helps prevent the motor from stalling as it goes up to the faster speeds (which typically have different torque values than the slower speeds).

Pressure vessels are part of common equipment utilized in plants to store liquids and gases under high pressure. It is certain that pressurized fluids will develop stresses in the vessel, which when exceeds failure limits, will lead to hazardous incidents and fatalities.
Unlike a mission statement, goals, objectives, and requirements are tools that will be used actively in the sourcing project once it reaches the decision-making stage.
For entrepreneurs and inventors, 3D digital designs of ideas and inventions save both time and resources, since 3D CAD can be used to initially test product design theories and understand all of their aspects without the need for building actual prototypes.
Experienced project managers know that proper preparation is the key for any successful project launch. To maximize your chances for success, here are five effective project preparation tips.
We are entering a new era of manufacturing -- one in which mass production is giving way to mass customization. A global marketplace, built on rich e-commerce platforms and make-to-order product configurations, is making “now” a great time to be a consumer -- but a challenging one to be a manufacturer.
