Sorry you got stuck in all this.  After viewing the two links you provided, my warning sensors all lit up – only at first glance, it all looks like half-baked marketeering garbage that is should be avoided.  No offense to anyone, but I'll 'pass' thank you.

Kudos to Tektronix for donating this equipment to the Everyday Edison cause.  It's good to see that large corporations not only support these innovative product incubators, but also provide material and resources to accelerate these efforts.  I hope that this endeavor will produce new breakthroughs in the medical marketplace.
