@Greg: Durability is something which should be closely monitored. It is important to make sure the durability is maintained at any point.

@Shehan - Agree with you. Durabiltiy characteristics are so important during the design selection process... especially with fine pitch connectors.

I don't know if anyone have you noticed that the charging time may vary according to the quality of connector (charging cable) used.
Once during a trip I forgot my iPhone's charging cable so I bought a cheap one for the charging of my cellphone. The cable did work but it took way longer to charge my phone compared to the cable I used back at home (the original cable). In both the cases the source for charging was the same (i.e laptop).

I still can't figure out what may be the reason. It did charge the phone eventually so that means it did work. The charging source was the same in both cases so it leaves us with only two things, either the wire may not be of the same quality or maybe the connection of the wire with ends may not be of the same quality.

So anyone experienced anything of this sort?

@Jane – Thanks for sharing the great article. Sometimes customers never think of the durability of these components. Some of them are not aware that such connectors exist and some are not bothered.

This information is quite useful to have, so thanks for the article. The connector might be something that a lot of people don't think about but it's key to ensuring the longevity and chargeability of a mobile device.

In order to keep in line with safety protocols, industrial networks need to be filtered in a semantic way so that only information related to diagnostics is flowing back to the vendor and that any communications that could be used for remote machine operations are suppressed.
While people may talk about the procurement process, the procurement discipline actually encompasses a number of different processes. They include spend analysis, supplier relationship management, and contract management, just to name a few.
As the Industrial Internet of Things and machine-to-machine communications movements gain speed, some companies are asking themselves, “Wait. How much information do we really want to flow in and out of our premises? Aren’t we supposed to be doubling down on cyber security?”
To carry out the program, Boeing built five custom carriages using a custom, upgraded pneumatic rod lock system developed by Advanced Machine & Engineering Co.
Extruded aluminum continues to gain traction as a mainstream OEM choice for designing, engineering, and producing component parts. The alloy and the technique have marched aggressively through the awareness and understanding phases and are now solidly in adoption territory.
