Good Internet of Things (IoT) Example

This Gadget Freak is a good example of an Internet of Things (IoT) device. One of the functional characteristics of an IoT device is sensors sending data to a website for viewing using a wireless network. The Electric Imp is primarily designed to help developers create IoT devices with little cost. The compactness of the TempBug allows easy data collection based on the device using WiFi. Great little Gadget Freak device.

@a.saji – a great idea on checking the temperature of your work environment before you go to work.

I was listening to a radio programme on the BBC which had a similar concept to this. It was a small gadget which allowed people to check the temperature of their working environment from their home so that they can decide on what type o clothing to wear to work. Sounds pretty neat.

Thank God I come from a country that is always hot and humid. If it's too hot, no one complains because everyone can bear the heat.
