Hush pumpy handles high flows

Chicago—Enerpac's new modular electric pump, the Hushh 2000, was on display at National Manufacturing Week here in March. Designed for applications where high flows are required, it is configurable to work with electronic system controls.
"The new pump has a modular design built for demanding workholding applications," says Enerpac's Thomas Eggert. "It also has variety of accessories." Options include multiple voltage options, manifolds, return line filters, heat exchangers, oil level/temperature switches, and pressure switches.
The Hushh 2000 is loaded with safety features to handle that heavy flow. It requires manifolds for mounting directional control valves that command a variety of system functions. An optional heat exchanger removes heat from the return oil, to provide cool operation. And a filter kit removes contaminants from the return oil flow before allowing it back into the reservoir.
Also, oil level/temperature switches shut down the pump when the oil has reached an unsafe operating temperature, and protects the pump and components from overheating. The pressure switch allows automation of the unit.
Enerpac's electric pump is used in conjunction with swing cylinders, work supports, directional valves, and sequence valves. It also has a standard oversized filtered breather allowing for easy reservoir fills without the need for special tools. The Hushh 2000's two- and five-gallon reservoir also minimizes heat build-up.
