Mini chip vacuum pump works with low and fluctuating compressed-air pressures. At inlet pressure of 55 psi, the pneumatically driven pump provides down to 24.1 inches Hg of vacuum pressure. The small pumps are available with numerous mounting arrangements for end-of-arm tooling and other applications where space is limited. The pumps are also said to be efficient and maintenance-free.

Media filter
This company's Roll Media Filter is a continuous solids filter which reportedly can process 15 to 700 gpm. The product uses disposable filter media which is supplied in 250 yard rolls, while a patented design is said to provide particle cake build up. Applications include waste water or lubricant streams with high solids loadings.
These directional seated valves use spring-loaded balls as valve elements for eliminating leakage. The valves are mounted individually or in combination with connection blocks to manifolds, and are mechanically and manually activated with a solenoid or pressure from pneumatic or hydraulic systems. All activation methods use an angled lever that pushes the valve element into the desired switching position. The 2/2 and 3/2 valves are used in applications up to 10,000 psi.
This company's 760S/780S ultra-high purity thermal mass flow meters are designed to provide a variety of self-diagnostic and field-adjustment features, along with the ability to confirm the meter's calibration and measurement accuracy in the field. The products are made of 316L electropolished tubing with a 7-10 Ra or 20-25 Ra interior finish, and are also said to be FM, CSA, and CENELEC approved for operation in hazardous environments.

Valve control
SB6 is this company's version of a stand-alone Allen-Bradley SLC 500, integrated within a single valve manifold. The product reportedly is capable of operating 90 valves, both onboard and remote, as well as providing support to peripherals via digital and analog I/O. The product is programmed with APS, A.I., and RS-Logix 500 software.
CV-3000 characterized control valves are now available with a range of characterized plates. The products are v-style metal inserts which are said to provide precise throttling control. Materials include Hastelloy B, Alloy 20, Hastelloy C, Bronze, Monel, carbon steel, stainless steel, and titanium. Applications include temperature control, flow control, and level control.

Light Matters: Systems Level Approach to HBLED illumination applications
Its good practice to apply a systems-level approach to high-brightness LED (HBLED) illumination applications. Minimally, the system includes the optical, thermal and electrical characteristics of the of the HBLED, the lens (if any) which is built-in to its package, secondary optics such as external plastic lenses/reflectors to direct the light as your application requires and power driver electronics.
