Celesco PT5600 String Encoder

Durable and versatile encoder

Celesco's new string encoder uses industrial rotary encoders with Celesco's durable linear cable reels. The spool translates linear cable motion into the encoder's rotary motion, with eight inches of linear measurement per encoder shaft turn. The encoder offers a measurement range of 10 to 250 inches, and four different measurement cable directions. It supports common 2.0 and 2.5-inch sq flange mount encoder mounts, and works with the 60 mm face mount encoders, with other mountings available. It can use any incremental or absolute encoder, and provides quadrature, 5-V line driver, universal line driver, SSI, Devicenet and other common digital outputs. Made to be durable, the encoders are designed for die cast, valve positioning, material testing, stage positioning, and other applications.
