NYSEAL® sealing element
By Design News Staff -- Design News, June 5, 2006
An alternative to rings, gaskets, and traditional sealants
Made to replace O-Rings, gasket seals and sealant compounds, the NYSEAL element creates a similar seal, even at up to 500 psi of pressure. The coating, once in place, doesn't work loose, fusing on the bearing surface of the fasteners it is treated with, and needs no heating or curing after installation. It is durable, will not shrink or dry out with age, and prevents galvanic corrosion between different materials. It resists chemicals such as alcohol, gasoline, oil, kerosene, diesel fuel and hydraulic fluids, and can take temperatures up to 150F, or 66C.
