Analog Devices Inc.'s system-in-a-package ADIS16201 iSensor eliminates a key barrier to the advancement of industrial sensor applications ranging from machine vibration detection to motion and positioning measurement. By offering an integrated, pre-calibrated solution, it opens the door for industrial users to install sensors, particularly in low-volume applications where none existed before.
"It's more of a standard IC type of interface," notes Bob Scannell, business development manager for Analog Devices. "With this, all of a sudden there's an opportunity to design sensors in where they may have presented a hurdle before."
