Makers add speed and performance to a new generation of motor controllers

Processing speed increases as sizes shrink in some of the latest motor controllers. Multi- and single-axis controllers are available for machine designers looking to control a symphony of movements or only one. To save space and complexity, some makers package their controllers and drives in the same housings. And vendors make a point to simplify the programming burden wherever they can.
