Small Turnings
By Design News Staff -- Design News, April 4, 2005
Sandvik Coromant will showcase a new small-part machining system at the upcoming Precision Machining Technology Show, to be held May 3-5 at the Columbus, OH, convention center. Sandvik's CoroTurn XS consists of cutting inserts, the smallest of which can handle bores as small as 1 mm, and matching boring bars. These tooling systems target a variety of precision automotive, watch, connector, and medical components that need internal turning, grooving, and threading.
