About 4,000 users registered for Autodesk University, the software company's 2004 international user group conference in November. Those in attendance heard CEO Carol Bartz describe the company's vision. Among the new products she touted: Product Stream, a process engine for releasing designs to manufacturing. She said it could improve the release pro-cess. "Change is hard enough," Bartz quipped. "Why should the change process be more difficult than the change itself?"
