Sharp Systems of America has come out with the Actius RD3D notebook computer, which uses the company's TFT 3D LCD technology in a 15-inch screen and switches between 3D to 2D viewing. Engineers achieved the 3D effect by dividing the light from the LCD in different patterns and directing the different images to the left and right eyes.
