Cadence Design Systems Inc., MatrixOne Inc., and IBM are joining forces to deliver product lifecycle management (PLM) products and services to electronics companies. The goal: Synchronize activities in software, electronics, and mechanical design to improve new product introductions and product-development processes, better manage outsourcing, and lower manufacturing costs. The three companies are working with customers and vendors to develop new standards to improve integration and interoperability.
