MelodyWing SP Wireless Audio Solution
Silicon Storage Technology Inc.'s SST MelodyWing SP advanced wireless audio solution is an integrated board-level product reportedly offering uncompressed wire-equivalent sound quality for home theater surround sound and multi-room audio systems. Able to operate in both the 2.4-GHz and 4.9 to 5.8-GHz ISM bands, MelodyWing SP is said to be the only dual-band, 24-bit uncompressed wireless audio solution available today.

Wireless Front-End Module for 3.9G
Skyworks Solutions Inc.'s SKY77445 is said to be the industry's first front-end module (FEM) for 3.9G wireless applications. The 2.6-GHz high-integration FEM is a fully matched 16-pin surface-mount module. It integrates a power amplifier, inter-stage filter, input and output matching and power detection. It also provides TX attenuation in the RX band and operates at a low voltage of 3.3V with high intensity. The FEM is suited for long-term evolution (LTE) and universal mobile telecommunications systems (UMTS).

Microchip Technology's MCP6031, MCP6032, MCP6033 and MCP6034 are a family of CMOS-based operational amplifiers. They operate within a single-supply voltage as low as 1.8V while drawing ultra-low quiescent current of less than 1 µA. The op amps use Microchip's non-volatile memory to trim input offset voltage, resulting in a maximum offset of only ±150 µV. The MCP603x family is targeted at applications requiring low power consumption, low-voltage operation and high precision, such as portable instrumentation devices used in industrial and medical markets.

The SN5000A features plug-and-play compatibility with existing CAN TV architectures, yet offers the benefits of the company's XC5000 tuner to TV manufacturers. The benefits include silicon sensitivity, as well as other features and functionality optimized for flat panel screens.

Integrated NAND Flash management technology helps designers reduce system complexity by offering a large, expandable XIP code area, instant secure boot area and AA data storage area on a PSRAM bus — all in the footprint of a BSA package.

Skyworks Solutions Inc.'s SKY73012 is an integrated broadband, high-dynamic range quadrature demodulator for use in various wireless communication system applications, including CDMA, UMTS, GSM/GPRS receivers, WiMAX radios, RFID readers, power amplifiers feedback/linearization, wireless local loops and WLANs. The device can perform quadrature demodulation of wireless input signals from 400 to 3,900 MHz directly to baseband frequencies.

Wago Corp.'s 285 Series Power Cage Clamp's two-conductor, feed-through blocks provide fast, maintenance-free connections for all conductor types up to 200A/600V. The product's Spring Pressure Contact Technology features conductors that are terminated with one turn of a hex wrench or a screwdriver. This makes the DIN-Rail mountable side-entry Power Cage Clamp suitable for terminating larger conductors in space-restricted applications.

CAP-XX Ltd.'s High-Temperature HS and HW Series supercapacitors are said to combine the energy-storage capability of batteries with the rapid charge/discharge times of capacitors. The company's new technology offers a higher-boiling-point electrolyte, extending the products' operating voltages from 4.5 to 5.5V and operating storage temperatures from 75 to 85C. The devices are designed to drive such peak-power events as LED Flash and video, wireless transmission, GPS and music.

Texas Instruments' DM6467 DaVinci digital media processor is said to be the first real-time, multi-format, high-definition (HD) video transcoding device available to the mass market. The multi-core processor integrates an ARM926EJ-S core, a 600-MHz C64X+DSP core and an HD video/imaging co-processor with key video accelerators to perform simultaneous, multi-format HD encode, decode and transcoding.
