Enjoy Traffic Jams Without Leaving Home

Connecticut is the latest region to make its traffic camera data available on the Web. Drivers who want to check roadways before they leave home can pick any of the state's 153 cameras. TrafficLand, a live traffic video aggregator, lets drivers scan interactive maps to display area roadways and traffic camera locations. Connecticut's move gives the aggregator real-time access to more than 6,000 traffic cameras in more than 60 areas worldwide.

Website users click on camera icons to view live video, saving frequently traveled routes. Live images of local road and traffic conditions can be sent to users via e-mail. Connectivity for Web-enabled cell phones and PDAs is also available.
