So you've built a better mousetrap and want to enter it in the Design News Golden Mousetrap Awards? You've come to the right place. Just follow the five easy steps we've outlined below and submit your entry form and payment no later than January 15, 2010.
Enter your best product from 2009 and we'll make sure your entry makes it into the hands of our highly competent judges - Design News' editors.
The winning entries will be announced in the Design News Special Awards Issue in April 2010. Winners will also be honored with a specially commissioned Golden Mousetrap Award, presented in person by a member of the Design News team.
FIVE EASY STEPS TO A GOLDEN MOUSETRAP AWARD
1. Download the entry form here.
2. Submit your non-refundable entry fee of $200 and note your payment receipt number (you'll need it for your entry form).
3. Enter the payment receipt number on the first line of the entry form.
4. Select the code for the product category you would like to enter from the product categories list. Enter this code on the third line of the entry form.
5. Complete the rest of the form and email it to us at elizabeth.taurasi@reedbusiness.com. Be sure to include a high-res .jpg or .tif image of the product as an attachment.
Last but not least, cross your fingers and wish yourself good luck!
ALTERNATIVE POSTAL MAIL-IN PROCEDURES
If you wish to mail your entry form in with a check instead of entering and paying online, please follow the above procedures, except instead of emailing the entry form, you can send it via postal mail with your check for $200 (written out to Design News) to the following address:

If you send in your entry via postal mail and pay with a check, you don't have to fill in the first line of your entry form with the payment receipt number since that is reserved for online payments only.
Don't forget — you will still need to submit a photo with your entry via postal mail. You can either email this photo to Elizabeth Taurasi or send the photo hard copy to the above address. Please include your full contact information when sending.
