When The Princeton Review’s Best 366 Colleges asked more than 120,000 students to rate their happiness and the quality of teaching at their schools, engineering schools didn’t fare well. In a category called, “Professors Get Low Marks,” seven of the worst 10 schools had high percentages of engineers. Similarly, five of the worst 10 schools on a “Least Happy Students” list were dominated by engineers.
The news, however, isn’t all bad. In a Design News survey, the majority of 147 practicing engineers and engineering students said their professors were very good or excellent.

It would be nice to know if the professors graded low were familiar with english as a first or second language. I had some asian teachers that when they spoke I could hardly understand their english. Thank god I could read their chaulk board equations otherwise I would have dropped out of engineering school.
