AutoCAD Mechanical is a specialized version of AutoCAD Release 14 completely optimized for mechanical design. The software incorporates all the functionality of AutoCAD Release 14.01, plus additional features including: a streamlined mechanical interface that simplifies access to mechanical functions; mechanical symbols that fully comply with international drafting standards; several new commands for creating and editing mechanical dimensions; and a multimedia on-line help system. AutoCAD Mechanical is available as a stand-alone product for $3,895, or as an upgrade to AutoCAD Release 12 or 13 for $695, or Release 14 for $195.
